All the events of the Forum can be grouped according to their themes: science and education, business and innovations, and management.
The Festival of Science and Innovations is a big and interesting part of the Forum. Its main events will take place in Academgorodok. The Festival is intended to popularize science and recreate the values of scientific knowledge. We don’t want our young people to devote their lives to service and managerial processes only, which are so popular nowadays. We want young people to have plans to be engaged in science and innovations. All the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), young scientists and Academgorodok community are supposed to take part in the Festival. We want to tell the guests and participants of the Forum about modern science and show how interesting it is. We try to choose lecturers who can speak about science in simple language, so that people having little to do with it could understand how modern science is developing, why it is necessary to spend public finance on it, and what profit it brings to national economy and country.
Another big part of the Forum is University Summit. Dozens of universities from Russia and abroad, including the SCO Network University and universities implementing the TACIS program, will take part in the Summit. Its main theme is Mobility in Education. Our wish is that Russian students could join world practice – design personal education programs and study the subjects interesting for them in any university of the SCO system. We are sure that such education system would provide a breakthrough in the quality of education, for it enables to obtain knowledge not only in the area of specialization, but in related fields as well.
Another key event is the Expert Symposium which is going to gather about 30 experts in economic development and in the sphere of innovations in the first place. The experts are the specialists with the experience of innovation implementation who can make forecasts on future development of markets and politics.
One more event we place stake on is a conference on new managerial practices – “Place Marketing” Conference. Heads of municipalities and regions from all over the world with the experience of implementing such practices will take part in the conference. Russian experts will participate as well. Our country has accumulated quite extensive experience that should be analyzed and discussed.
Along with considering practical questions, we must form a certain concept of a territory of innovation economy and innovative development. What are the laws of its development? What are the laws of administration of this territory? How does it involve people? At last, what should it do to not only produce but also to use and develop human capital? It is one of the themes to be discussed at Interra and one of the topical questions for Novosibirsk, which does produce human capital but haven’t really learned how to use it yet.
